Oh crap, looking at it again he was indeed on the ground at the corner, can see him in the in car shot, explains how paddon knew he was there and pointing him to others when he got out.
Not good, really wish people would be more careful where they put themselves
I really hope the rumours I am hearing now aren't true. It doesn't sound good for the spectator

NO idea if this is accurate or true...its a comment on that youtube video:

We stayed more than twenty minutes waiting for the ambulance. The guy had been dead for a long time even though the fireman told us he had to massage until the doctors arrived and could not officially say he had died. We talked with John Kennard, Paddon's crewman, and he could not get over the slowness of the relief. It's just that. That said, it would not have changed for him. Not the way we wanted to start - caught out by black ice near the end of the stage. The car snapped sideways and then we were a passenger. Not so much damage to the car but sorry for the team who put in so much work to get here.
