Just had a call from the mechanic, he managed to get it going today, the car had some wiring issues after some furry friends had some dinner in the loom!

Now that we know it goes, he will batter on with fixing the mechanicals and get it ready for MOT.

Our mechanic has been glancing near this on occasion and we have asked him to do a full check of everything so that anything perished or needing attention can be done in one go.

Thankfully someone had been working at this as a project before we got our hands on it and have replaced all the brake lines and basically most of the ignition parts. We think the ignition parts were replaced in an attempt to resolve a non starting issue, but that was down to a furry friend chewing the wire going to the fuel pump.

Graeme spotted a 924 in brg auctions in Bangor so we took a spin over this morning and ended up winning it.

It’s a 1981 924 2.0 manual in champagne with a tan and tweedy interior. It has 74k on the clock. It is a very genuine wee car with some of the original factory stickers still on it.

This car will likely replace the red one as we much prefer the colour and interior, and it has a nice reg CBZ 766.

Hoping to pick it up at the start of the week and set about getting a plan together

They all sold at that price?

Any idea why the astra coupe was in with the classics? low mileage or something..

No idea, there were a few ‘modern classics’, it made £250 with a fresh mot, it was rough enough and miles were over 100k

You pair aren’t wise.

I’m afraid I cannot like that from the rear angle, no matter how hard I try (n).

I actually prefer the non spoiler early model car, I have grown to hate the big rubber boot spoiler on a 924. Works on the 944 but not the 924.
