Anyone doing wheel refurbs at the minute?

I think Bodyworx did a great job on both sets of alloys. Both diamond cut and all for £430. Very happy.

This might be a stupid question but can you get wheels painted two separate colours? I have a set of diamond cut ones atm and swap them over in autumn to keep the salt etc away. Thinking if I could get the inner parts dark as is atm and the diamond cut parts painted a bright silver? Thoughts?

Assuming it'll be more expensive as its more labour intensive?

Yes you can and it would be less hassle than the diamond cut.

It’s what I’m considering doing with mine, two separate colours and not diamond cutting them again. These are painted rather than being diamond cut as they are from the factory

I think it looks good vs the diamond cut below, and comes without the inevitable heartbreak

Priced getting my 20" A6 alloys refurbished and done silver by David McIntyre. £320 Inc vat. I'd be happy enough with that if its a decent job as alot of the others mentioned are miles away from me.

One thing that was a simple mistake was that they put they put a terrible set of centre caps back on the Audi alloys.

I was doubting myself that they weren't mine, but decided to question it and they found my set quickly. Next time I'll pop them off before leaving in...

They forgot to paint mine altogether, but said they'd do them, but I 3d printed them in the first place so it was less hassle to just print another set and paint them at home. Only real thing I could fault then on at the time but something that they should be on top of

I sent a single alloy up for refurb and pretty certain they just did a spot repair and lacquered over it, as there's dirt on it I can't get off at all even with a bit of polish. Can see the colour difference where I had kerbed it as well. Never took the time to inspect it as they did a great job first time.

Picked mine up today, very happy with the results.

FYI......make sure you quote the Facebook deal. I went to pay and it was £50 more, I asked was it not £195 +VAT so £234 for the set. I was asked did I quote the Facebook deal, which I had but they hadn't added it to the paperwork, got sorted in the end. So make sure you mention the Facebook deal.

Same happened with me, wasn’t an issue though (I went in expecting a fight 😂) and they reverted to the offer price without question.

3 of my wheels are perfect- not a mark on them. 1 has 2 little imperfections in the paint which is annoying, but less than you would get in some other places. Very happy with the overall finish though.

2 of the tyres were completely flat too, which I thought was strange. Just hoping there’s not a leak!

When I lifted them out of the boot 1 of the weight strips fell off too. Again a bit annoying as I’ll now need to take them to get balanced.

All in all I’m happy for the money. Full price would normally be £280+ vat and I wouldn’t have been keen paying that for them.

If they’ve already been refurbed, more than likely they won’t be able to CNC them again so next time will be paint only.

Give me a shout sure.

Just called up today to bodyworx and booked mine in for the end of the month to be done.

65 a rim
100 if buckled (at least one is)
And 3 to 4 business days turn around

Went for the lightest grey they had, still not 100% yet

That's what I'm worried about. Might just stick with silver as I couldn't do black
