Only thing putting me off a lease is that it would feel pointless putting it on its hole and grinding the arches out is bound to void some paperwork somewhere and I don't have the ability to leave things alone even as the old git I am turning into.

I hear ya. Been there done that and now have a rattle which I can live with rather than go to Boucher to fix. And wash..lol once every 3-4 months in 20 months.

For all you folks with your lease car. Does it feel like its "your" car? Unfortunately I don't..its a hire car, albeit a 300 horse hire car. I'm wondering is it just me. Just curious

I use super in mine but the seat dealer said to use 95 as it is a modern car.

Can't see it causing any engine damage or leading to an investigation by the lease firm, but would it not run better performance wise on 98?

Id say the difference in 95 and 97 is negligible. Never harmed my MPS after 2.5 years and 30K miles and that said it needed at least 98. And anyway we can`t get 98 Ron here, so could be interesting if it did kark it, and they ask have you been using at least 98 ron fuel, well no, as it we can't get in in Ni, well in that case you owe us a new engine.

I always used Super in my S3 when possible and did notice a difference the odd time I had to use normal unleaded when no super was available.

I use Topaz super. Smells so good I could drink it.

Did a 'launch' in the R for the first time early Sunday morning there when there was no other traffic about. It can fairly shift off the line alright. It does some farting and spitting when it's holding the revs pre launch.

On a happy note the VXR Corsa goes back tomorrow and they're coming to pick it up at the house so no boat trip to Scotland and back required. It hasn't turned a wheel since July !

Very rarely and it still goes well.

yeah it drives 100% on 95, Ive had cars in the past that needed super with less bhp.

So much handier to just fire 95 in, rather than try to find super. might try a tank to see if it goes any better.

The day I picked mine up from Agnews they went with me to fill it and stuck normal 95 in it, I think I have filled it with 98, 3 times.

Goes against everything I stand for but I am tempted by a new mondeo estate after a drive in one yesterday it is now my guilty pleasure. 600 quid deposit and only 208 a month. The temptation is strong for the family capabilities.
