So where do I start... Having sold my DC5 last December and not particularly knowing much about evo's other than I really bloody wanted one. So
I started into a bit of research...coming to the conclusion that it would be best to get fresh import to get a condition I would be happy with.

Spec wise I think the GT was the right choice with the 5 speed box and rear diff so no AYC pump. ( seats are awesome too )

I came across this on Torque GT's website and I knew as soon as I saw it that it was the one.
I know the colour maybe isn't to everyone's taste but I love it. I didn't actually know you could get a GT in yellow lol.

The journey was a long one... not just the wait for the car arriving but collecting it and driving home. Taking almost 8 hours of driving to get from the south of England to Birkenhead Docks. A car fire on the M6 had us at a standstill for at least 2 hours. I was ****ting the pants thinking we would miss our ferry. However we made it in good time thankfully.

Spec wise it is standard apart from a genuine ralliart carbon front splitter & ralliart spark plug cover. I think that's all it needs really. Maybe a Change the exhaust down the line and a remap to suit. ( I said this when I bought my DC5 and err yea that didn’t happen )

Enough talking... here’s a few photos I took today once she was cleaned up.

Absolutely love the interior. Seats feel great and support me perfectly, even after a long drive home I got out feeling fresh.

Worth the wait. That looks the business. HTD. (y)

You'll be fighting over a garage spot now.

It’s the small details like all of the doors shuts for example.. Sooo clean! I actually couldn’t believe it. The previous owner in japan has taken great care.

Door shuts...

Superb looking. Make sure to get it properly undersealed before our winters attack it.

Thanks :grinning: yes it will be stored inside during the winter months, however before leaving Torque GT they sealed it fully with dinitrol. I also opted to have the cavity protection package, basically they pump every hole underneath & all cavities within the body with a clear vaseline/waxy type substance.

Few photos of once the dinitrol has been applied...

In the boot you should just be able to make out the wax substance that has been applied in the cavities (diff oil & windscreen wash compartments)

Looks to have been a great buy Sam. Worth all those months in the Fiesta. All the best with it

Cheers Connor, can’t really describe how happy I am with it. Was out today washing her for the first time with some tunes banging in the background , I took a step back and it actually brought a tear to my eye lol. But as @Gemma said tho UP THE FIESTA’S!!

Great choice and looks mint indeed, hard to beat a fresh import! Good to have a before pic of the underneath aswell when it was still yellow.

Every time I see a nice fresh clean Evo 9 it makes me think of selling up the AE86 and buying one to tuck away but I definitely get more enjoyment out of the 86 than the Evo’s.

Car looks fantastic by the way, appears to be in great order and should still be a bit of an investment for a good while yet.
