Awesome car.

I’d still be of the opinion that gold Revolutions would be the answer. I’d say it drives well on the current wheels though

I’d only put the revs back on if it was lowered more. It does drive well on the standard rims as they are very light. I’m saving for some sticky rubber for them now

Cleaned and clear sealer at the back end, some zinc primer on vulnerable areas, the colour pretty much matched the original grey finish....working my way slowly to the front lol.

It baffles me that imports can have no rust after almost 20 years I mean it rains a lot in Japan, the roads must be very clean or something. I can only think that winters are the problem.

I thought it was that they didn't treat roads with salt in winter?

yeah they don't use salt but you would still expect some sort of deterioration even with water I would have thought anyway, unless some of them are dry weather cars over there too.

A lot of their cars are lower miled for reasons like that and public trasnport being so good as nowhere to park.

You also have a generally drier atmosphere in Japan even in winter, whereas we're typically a damper atmosphere (even on dry days outside of peak summer) for the majority of the year regardless of salt.

Not a big update, gave the calipers a refurb and new decals as they were a bit chipped here and there. New boots all round too Hankook S1 Evo which are a very underrated tyre, imo every bit as good as the Michelins and conti’s out there.
Also finally got it booked in with Darius at dent division to get the car park dings removed as they have been annoying me to look at. With the thin panels on the Imprezas they mark up so easily. Have 5 panels to get treatment: unamused:

Looks mint!

How much is he charging you for the dents? Does he come to you?

Have a few myself and dent men seem to be the hardest people to get hold of.

I’ve had to wait about 6 weeks but he was on holiday for a month. Bring the car to him as he’s very busy, it’s £60 a panel but He comes highly recommended.

Seen those on the type ra forum, they would suit the car really well but I’ve no spare funds at the min :cold_sweat:
