I'm still a massive Skyline fan and always will be but when these are running right, they're brilliant fun.

I forgot how annoying owning an old jap car is though, constant wee stupid problems. Definitely need to get myself a fun daily again for when this decides not to play ball lol .. At least I'm not relying on it as I have a daily, so it can sit tight until it's sorted. Made mistake with the Skyline and won't do that againπŸ˜‚

Once I get this wee Ignis Sport of mine sold, that'll be a few quid back in the Silvia fund for coil pack upgrade and the rest will go towards paint. Still haven't decided who I want to paint it, but that's a while off yet. Not going to paint it until I have a garage to keep it in!

Few more parts acquired! I have been after the front lip for a while and they're hard to get hold of. I saw that Dave Egan from Drift Games put a new bumper on one of his PS13s and he had an OE with a lip going spare. So I decided to ask if he would part with it. At first he said no but after a month of a search and being messed around by another guy, I asked again and this time he decided to let go of it, provided I took the complete bumper. Sure it never hurt to have a spare lolπŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

Got it collected today and glad to see it was genuine too.

My stripe kit arrived also. Non-genuine as they're impossible to find, but silicone replacememt stripes and badges. The little Nissan badge is for my horn button on my OE wheel as mine is melted. Not that the OE wheel is on but sure, why not?πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

After getting the car back from Richard Bradley, the car decided to mess about again. My new fuel pump started to sing in the tank.. looks like the little filter on the fuel pump was getting clogged and the fuel pump was struggling. No rust on the entire car, besides INSIDE the fuel tank 😭 I suppose that's what happens when a car sits for 17 years off the road.

Luckily no contaminated fuel made it into the pump itself as the fuel that came out of it was clean. Thankfully the filters where doing their job. .. So I will be dropping the tank out and taking it to Brownlow Radiators in Lurgan as they do a Fuel Tank Renu service which coats the inside and the outside of the tank in resin. So will hopefully be getting that sorted out soon enough and will report back how that goes!

I also thought it would be safer to replace the fuel filter again and fuel pump itself as I no longer trust the one in it as it could be on its way out. Along with another service while its in the air. .. It's been an expensive monthπŸ˜‚

Old cars always keep you busy 😁

And a spare bumper is always good, especially seeing how hard it was to find.

It's a Qs bumper, which is a non-turbo model so it doesn't have the air intake for the side mounted intercooler. But good if I ever decided to get a front mount I guess πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

But your right. Still a list as long as your arm for this thing lol

Tank back from Brownlow Radiators. Absolutely excellent service. Coated the tank inside and out and done my fuel filler neck for an extra couple of quid. Can't fault them. Really quick turn around too. They look bloody fantastic! Highly recommended πŸ‘πŸ»

Tank is back in and the car is running a lot better! Fuel level sender in the tank pulled apart and de-crudified so I now have a working fuel gauge. Near cried when I had to fill a 60ltr tank with BP Ultimate though 😭 .. Never really got a good drive in it due to weather but so far so goodπŸ‘πŸ» Gave it another service while it was in the air too. It's mad how different it sounds now its running so smooth. Can't wait for a sunny day now!

No real photos to update so heres a random one for now πŸ˜‚

Forgot to post this, got a new steering wheel badge as the original one melted and I cleaned up the wheel. It's like brand new now. Irrelevant as I have the momo on really, but I'll put it on someday to see what it's likeπŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

They did my original tank from the 2002tii a few years ago. It still leaked afterwards. I emailed or messaged them about it but they just completely ghosted me. I got a new one from BMW and with another million things to do on that restoration I just forgot about it. It’s still sitting in the garage. πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

No big updates but I finally got my new windscreen collected from JDM distro last week. It was a long wait and hard to find as the glass is bronze tinted. The only way I could get one is to import one. I had an option of a genuine screen that had some chips or a brand new non-gen screen for less money, even at that probably the most expensive screen ever lol. To me it was a no brainer and got a mint new non-gen screen. Old seals had seen better days also.

It was defo the right decision as it is perfect. The seals had to be replaced as they where just too far gone to be reused although the fitter really wanted to keep them original. M&M The Windscreen Men - Known throughout the trade and highly recommended. He was able to get seals that fitted well from a Corsa of all things. Very neat job and I'm very pleased.πŸ‘πŸ»

Not the most exciting update so here are some random photos from my days out. I drive this thing anytime I get a chance. No point keeping the miles low for the next person to enjoy it! It makes absolutely hillarious noises and is boosting well. Everyone who has been in it loves it. I've got more love for this than I ever did for my R33πŸ˜‚

Accidentally entered another car show. Got herded into a field instead of the spectators car park with the mate in his S15 lol

I seen this at the show on Sunday but wasn’t sure if it was yours because I thought yours two-tone. It looks well, I love the shape of these

You need new wiper arms now :innocent:

Looking great! Half the fun with these old cars is hunting down parts, lol.
Nonsense, just paint them

Yesterday I commented on someone's photo on Instagram of their PS13 which had the illusive BBS wheels which where an option from Nissan when new, saying "I want those wheels!" .. Later they sent me a message with a link to a set for sale in Japan. I immediately got onto JDM Distro and put my bid in as they where on auction. Today I found out I won!

Some bad quality screenshot photos is all I have. Would be tempted to paint them back to silver, but if they're good quality I'll maybe just fire them on. Might suit the colour of the car.

This was the guys car who sent me the link. Will also give you a rough idea what they look like on and how much better a 2 tone car looks😍

Brilliant, that looks great  They'll probably need cleaning up anyway, think silver would suit your car better. But fire them on as they are over winter and see what you think.

Those are lovely but I can't help thinking that a set of split rims of some sort with a bit of a dish (nothing too extreme) would really suit this.
Still bloody class machine though.

The stud pattern is rare, 4x114.3, so it's almost impossible to get any decent wheels that aren't Longchamps. Which is why so many people do the 5 stud conversion. I still have the Skyline wheels, would love to put them on but its a lot of messing about and this is option is cheaper and less fussπŸ˜‚

I want paint more than anything atm but other priorities. Maybe down the line 5 stud conversion but not any time soon.πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

No need for conversion with those wheels, they're lovely(y)

That PCD is pretty normal on old Jap stuff? The likes of Weds/Rays/Enkei etc. will have wheels to fit. The problem now seems to be nobody imports or stocks them as there are so few cars around. And the ones left are either scrap or locked away... So small market to stock parts for...

If you speak to the importers they may be able to do something. Won't be cheap though, and takes time...

Just stick with those wheels and spend the money elsewhere.

Thats it. Got these for a bargain which leaves more money for paint, which is more important for me. They also look decent so I'm happy enoughπŸ‘πŸ» these would be my number 2 choice of wheel, I would prefer to put the R33s on but this is the cheaper option for now. All in good timeπŸ‘πŸ»

could always run 4x114.3 -> 5x114.3 adapters but then offset on the R33 wheels plus adapter would have them sticking miles out beyond arches im guessing.

wee BBS would look great in silver would complement the colour of your car.
