Another weekend spent in the shed and the front end is back on as well as a few other jobs.

Decided to take it outside to get some decent pictures.

Very close to a test drive before it goes away for winter to get the bed on.

Just ... wow! 🥰😎

Seriously, brilliantly done, coming together so well.

P.S.
You have to share some pictures with the original owners. I bet they will be pleased to see it, and bound to have a story or two to tell!

I didn't think the stacks would work, but after seeing the truck near complete, and them along with the tanks, it looks fantastic!

Love the front number plate holder. Nice detail I had not noticed before. If you need someone to drive it over the winter without a bed to free up space in the shed well you just have to ask. .:joy:

Cheers everyone,

Still a long way to go but ive driven it now. Just up and down the lane but its definatly going to be a bit of a handful lol, hopefully the bed will settle it a bit.

Im going to have to start and look at that job soon too :confounded:

Need to get a rear bumper designed and fabricated to mount some lights and go for a proper spin next.

Ive been ordering all the little things Wipers etc and working on the door seals strikers and fitment to get them closing really nice.

I'm sure once you get into the inner wings, it won't be as bad as you fear.
I'm terrible for avoiding jobs that I don't particularly want to start into but then when I get going, I enjoy them.

Thanks ive spent the week messing around with door gaps and repairing the latching mechanisims after they have worn, still not perfect but getting closer.

Got working on the bumper design tonight its going to be a fairly chunky design and take cues from the original but with moden american twists.

Still working away on it but heres a bit of a preview.

The lights are a stop tail side combo havent completely decided on the position, couple of LED flood lights in the middle for reverse as well as a pair of 12T lashing points and a dixon bate style adjustable tow hitch and a locakable door for the ramps. Recessed the plate just for the looks.

I do like recessed lights just for the clean look. thinking of adding another pair of them at 45 deg somewhere but ill probably go smaller

Just a little update, hopefully get some work done this weekend on the truck that is postworthy.

Bumpers/traction ballast is off to get cut.

Spent the weekend fixing my ackerman issue with the front steering geometry. Which I forgot to take any pictures of, but with some machining and tweaking ive got it alot better.

Then I spent way too long getting the headliner fitted, what a Bo**ocks. As always remanufactured parts always need a little fettling here and there.

Turned out ok I reckon.

Seats away for upholstery and im still on the hunt for a decent heavy carpet supplier in NI.

Very happy with the ignorance, doubt towing will be a concern.
