They are taking a lot of time and doing things well, but most people have no idea the time it can take to build/fabricate things on a car, even easier stuff than what they're doing. It's all very time consuming to make things functional and accessible for future work.
It's brilliant, you can easily see where 200 hours went there no bother. I watched them all in the run up to this one again and it's easy to forget the job they've done to get that running gear inside the dimensions of that shell. (Mad wheel arch extensions excepted) There's plenty of lessons learned going into it too, they know that if they don't sort things like the heating and a/c out, it'll be barely useable as a road car. There's still sooooo much to do though. Must be getting close to sorting out engine ancillaries now.
Saw it earlier, they are now both full time on it because of the Patreon income! Class, be great to be paid for that, fair play to them.
Cool wipers bro.
Now get a bloody turbo on that donkey and make it sing.
That was some impressive milling/bridgeport work, that alone looked like it could have taken a month to knock all those piece out to build that alternator/PAS set up.
Unreal how much everything is thought out. Even the small bits like the extra connector for the front light loom to keep the plug secure when the front end is lifted of!
Dread to think the price of the flexi shaft, aerospace stuff is usually mega bucks
