Doesn't look too shabby at all 👍
Wish I'd have took more time at it, kinda just fired it on not expecting much. It was £7 for a roll 1.5m x 30cm (I read the ad wrong, thought it was just a sample).
Now I know how easy the wheel comes off I might do a better job but seeing I only did it to fix the button I'm happy enough.

Had my eye on R35 GTRs for years and a dream car of mine. I remember seeing this one up on autotrader and seemed a good one.

Did you get subframe checked as they usually rust heavily on the early models? Concern of mine if I was going for a CBA model now with the age.
Do you ever wish you waited or saved more for a DBA model? I'm torn between CBA and having cash left or all in on a DBA.

Aye underneath is pretty clean, and I got it undersealed aswell.
It wasn't a matter of saving more for me. Yes, I'd love a newer model but I had an amount in my head I wouldn't go over for any car so it was this or nothing. Even most of the CBA ones are still above my amount but the miles on this one were what kept it within my budget. The good thing being only one owner from new and the condition otherwise it would've stayed a dream I think.

The wrap ? Ali express special 😆

Thought you might have found this interesting, found your car up on gtr.co.uk forum under the For sale / wanted section, doesn't let me post the link. 30k.

Guessing GTR Heritage Centre had bought it off him.

Yeah I found it all during my "research" before buying.

Changed all my bulbs to LED. Amazing how it makes everything look modern.

Gave the interior a good clean today, other than wet-vac the mats which I'll do when the weather gets a bit better.

First job was something really annoying, a load of dog hairs on the parcel shelf that was near impossible to get at. I had tried before and failed but came up with this brainwave to get the worst out.

Then onto the seats and plastics. The bits on the doors and dash etc that aren't leather, are a padded textured finish that always look grubby to my eye. Gave them a good scrub with interior detailer and detailing brush, then used a satin dressing. The leather was wiped down with leather cleaner, I prefer the dry look rather than using a finish on it.

Used some APC to get the shiney-ness off the door handles, gear knob, hand brake and of course steering wheel. Then leather cleaner.

quickly fired on a bit of the wrap on the door handle to see what it looked like. Think the silver looks weird.

Superb! I love hitting the steering wheel with a baby wipe every so often- comes up like a new wheel!
Lol, I remember at my mums, my nephew had drawn on her brown leather sofa. I said "have you something to wipe this with?"
She handed me a wipe and I joked "do you even clean this house, look at the dirt off the wipe!"
It had in fact, striped the brown dye off the arm of the sofa 😅. I got in more trouble than the nephew.
Would be OK on black though I imagine.

Excellent! I wish I had the patience to do deep cleans like this! I’ve had the 1er for 6months today and the interior has yet to see a vacuum.

I'll admit I used to enjoy it way more, but as I get older I just can't be arsed. Especially when the weather is crap, but today wasn't too bad.
I used to love nothing more than spending all weekend cleaning inside and out, with the tunes on and maybe a beer or two.

Coming up a treat Adam, looks the biz!

Any plans to take it to Marc at Polished and Waxed for an exterior detail and/or ceramic coating, or is the paintwork already done? (Can't remember if you said so before)
The white is very forgiving with regards swirls etc so I'll probably just do it myself. I still can't justify the cost of a full ceramic coating, especially with it staying in the garage. If it was a dark colour I'd maybe get it done. We'd get more benefit of a coating on @Mel car if we were getting it done.

I'm definitely very jealous. I can only imagine if feels amazing owning your dream car. I'd be giddy going out, opening the garage door and seeing it sitting there.

Must feel great just getting out and doing each little thing to make it feel more like yours no matter how small or trivial it is.

That's it, no intention of doing anything major, just wee bits to tinker with. Definitely giving it a good clean gets you familiar with it.

Do you not own a Supra ? 🤣 You've nothing to be jealous about as it's on my dream list. Could've just as easily been one of them I went for 😍

Believe it or not the Supra was never a dream car for me. It just came up at the right place and time when I was on the look out for something a bit different. Saying that, I do love opening the garage door now and seeing it sitting there. But I just don't know what to do with it, and thinking more and more about moving it on to get something else that would make me feel the way you do about your GT-R.
