Not car parts but a friend got an air compressor stolen;

Small twin tank 110v Hitachi nailing compressor so please keep an ear/eye out.
It is quite a recognisable unit. Ive never seen another one like it tbh

it’s still sickening that’s some ones hard earned money

100% - but when I had mine, you had to consider parking so carefully & treat it like you were leaving it unlocked with the keys in.

That wee Nova is a sickner. I'd be fairly sure it has a thread on here?

I’ve spent the past half hour digging deeper on that wee silk violet nova. Raffles are going to kill a lot of good cars off people have no appreciation or respect for them once they’ve won it for £20. The Nova was won on R.Kings but the last boy who had it nurtured it for 10 years. He’s in disbelief at how you could park up the most attractive Nova GSI in the county (albeit a rep) on the Falls & just walk away from it. Frightening. All that hard work for nothing.

I had mine into work in Belfast a few times so I could go straight to an autotest after work and my nerves were shot.

This is the part of Belfast that I hate, we spent a good part of the early 80's trying to stop my dad's Cortina Mk4 being stolen. We ended up wiring up to a mains powered bull fencer with an earth strip made of wire rope and buried into the drive just below the surface. We had a great collection of hammers and screwdrivers left behind as a result of that but got the front windows of the house put in for daring to protect our property. Also had a hilarious chat with the cops when one of the scrotes went to them to complain that he had been 'electrocuted' while trying to steal our car. 🤷‍♂️ 🤦‍♂️

No different car. It’s originally a 1.2 luxe from Ballnahinch, was a wrecked a couple of times then the last time it got a mega build with everything gsi put into it then raffled. Was spotted in the crumlin road a couple of hours ago there.

There was one earlier this year where a wee fletcher speedboat was stolen from the Crumlin Road. He got it back like but WTF. Nearly as good as the scales of justice being pinched from the courthouse ⚖️

Thing is, the locals do know who is balls deep into this **** but won't do a thing about it. There is decent people in the Lower Falls/Divis but need to help themselves too, these wee ****s have no fear and its a pity more of them don't die in the collisions they cause.
Guy whose place I took it in my first station was hit and killed by a stolen car on Kennedy Way as he tried to sting the car, they'd to bring a police dog out to find his gunbelt and radio. We were on in the town and it was the worst thing I'd ever heard coming over the radio. Thankfully that night, locals had heard what happened and gave up the cars location. Boy did time and got out, straight back to it.

Yeah I was the same. Worked in west Belfast and left it parked up all the time. Had about 4 different immobilisers on it and a disklok. Even if they had the keys and a lesson in how to start it I doubt they’d have got it away! Most of the time I didn’t bother locking it. No point. May as well save myself replacing the roof again.

A lot of people don’t really have an appreciation for how easy older cars were stolen. It’s not often something is lifted off the street these days really.

Oldpark/Ardoyne starting to go the same way as Divis/Lower Falls.
