Avoid the JLR warranty. Go 3rd party with warranty direct.
@swansty
I remember speaking to a local garage to see if they would do work and then claim from Warranty direct but they said no.
Do Warranty direct tell you what garages they recommend?

They have a few over here but I hadn’t heard of them. I went to my choice of garage which meant I had to pay the bill and then claim from WD. The garage must go through the proper authorization procedure with WD though for your claim to be processed. Over 7 years I’m maybe breaking even or slightly ahead in terms of what I have paid and what I claimed.

Don’t buy one without a comprehensive warranty

I should clarify my own L322 hasn't given me a ton of bother bar some electrical issues but the newer shapes are a different beast altogether. Plus mine is about 10% of the value of '14/'15 so if it goes terminal it's not as catastrophic.

i bought the last of the l320 pre reg in 2013 with 100miles ive only clocked up 34k in that time and the only issue ive had is a passenger side rear door lock , but seems to be norm on all landrovers . Crank sensor recall. Other than stopped using hursts as they really expensive for what you get , although the free mints and water when you collect your car doesnt justify £550 for 3 filters and oil . Saying that a local garage wasnt much better..

Im probably going to use the specialist in ballynahinch or mallusk

For a car that gives so many problems there seems to be so many on the road. I will do a bit of re search myself but still advising them on an Audi at this stage. The new shape Velar seem like a nice Jeep also.

What about an F Pace Jag? They are good value used.

X5 from 2016-2016 are they OK in general?
They eat air springs and then the air compressor goes as well.
If it's had the air springs changed for the uprated bilstein ones and a new genuine compressor there isn't anything to worry about.
I've a good one for sale if your interested in one PM me

I’ve had this for the weekend and I’m loving it, 20 model with 4K on it, not set on that colour or the 2.0d version.. she’s telling me it’ll break my heart when all goes wrong but I can’t fault it

I love this, but is there something missing at the rear around the bottom of the exhaust tips?

J&F are great to deal with ... a friend buys all his cars there and doesn't go anywhere else. They'll probably be sourcing me my next fast car also. JP is a gent to deal with.
update on my own range

New battery was the big expenditure this month, or so I thought. Heading in on Tuesday to have the rear sills cut out and new metal welded in. I knew they were rusty but I want to get them now before it turns nasty.

Getting the inner wheel Wells and arches at the rear done at the same time for future proofing it.

Then off to the paint shop for some fresh tonga green to cover the new metal.

New head unit on hold again until this is done.

Still love it though and it'll be here a for a few good years yet with plenty of southern road trips planned. Taking us all to Chester to visit wife's family in September so its getting plenty of miles.

Averaging 17mpg on the short trips and up to 28/29mpg on the long haul trips down south.

Put nearly 2000 on it and love it still. :grinning: Although can't wait to have another fast car on the drive beside it fkr some spirited trips lol
