Had 3 hours today in Hursts demo new shape Range Rover D350 Autobiography 😀. Luxury beyond belief and a lovely drive. The seats are more comfy than my sofa at home 😂
oh oh! I am tempted, getting one for a few days in March! Is it really that good, doe it feel much bigger than the 110?

I love the green, grey or the black. sooooooo tempted.....

The one I drove was black, looks good but not the colour for me.

I would say it feels smaller than the 110 as it’s not as cumbersome. Imagine as it’s Autobiography it maybe has rear wheel steering as the turning circle was a lot less than the Defender. Definitely did feel a bit more nimble. Also not sure about suspension set up as this one was a good bit smoother than one I drove this time last year which was an SE.
this one also was a long wheel base so a crazy amount of rear seat room which I wouldn’t say is needed.

Very luxurious compared to the Defender but that’s no surprise as they are different machines. Hurst have a lovely blue HSE in the showroom which is a stunning colour but it’s something like a £8k option.

My wife loved the seats so that’s kinda battle won 😀

Will be interested to hear what you think after you get a drive.

Rear wheel steer is standard on LWB and it will be the LWB that helped the suspension feel even more

Thanks Stefan. Thought that might have been the case.

So in SWB is there any difference in suspension between SE, HSE and Autobiography?
Also there seems to be a suspension option that can be bought, can’t recall the name but maybe electronic suspension or something like that for about £2600. What does that do and is it any worth considering? I did like how flat the car I drove cornered compared to the Defender which has a bit of lean and not the quickest steering.

Not a chassis expert but looking at the configurator there is no difference

The option below seems to be an option on every variant so worth checking if it was on the one you drove

The Range Rover is much more dynamically capable than Defender mainly by design (suspension tuning) and also weight distribution

A guy I know bought a low mile Range Rover sport SDV6 from a dealer for 26k, looked mint in every way. He was cruising along and noticed the engine start to clatter, pulled straight over and switched it off. He's since been told the engine's scrap, it's out of the dealer warranty by one month, but he did pay for an extended warranty, but the warranty company have basically said it's such a common problem he should have been aware of it, and are refusing to pay out.

Wow that’s a shocker from the warranty company! Think I would be taking that one a bit further.

Surely if its such a common issue and they didn't cover it, it would of been included on the exclusions on the policy?

Broken crank I’m guessing?

What a scummy warranty company. He would win that in court all the same.

If it’s an LR dealer, he should be looking at them to provide goodwill.
I’ve heard of other warranty companies wiggling on things that are “known faults”

It's not a LR dealer, just used car sales. I don't want to say the name of the place, but they are fairly big outfit, and known for good service. They've actually lent him a courtesy car even though it's no longer their responsibility.

I don't know what his next move is, but he's not planning on excepting the warranty company's verdict. Whoever has the car at the moment have quoted something crazy for a replacement engine.

Yeah broken crank. I can't remember the mileage, but it's fairly low, and I believe it's mostly LR dealer service history.
