So easy! Car was bad as I’d been out on site quite a bit and I wasn’t able to wash it the last couple of weeks because of the weather. Glad I went for Ultra now

serviced it (well Friday night) including pollen filter.....which seems to be the original! The blower is now fecking top notch compared to it's weezey usual performance.

Mine is sitting flat and the key isn't opening the door so I have no idea how to get into it lol

Jump lead on to starter or alternator from below to either charge it for a while or at least enable you to get it open. Been there before on a few things.

I went to change the coolant/antifreeze and thermostat. Mentioned to dad that I was going to do it and he handed me a tester and said to test it first - Turns out that the coolant in it is 100%. So that was a waste of £45 (well, I still have it so it'll do for next time)

Then I went to do the pollen filter. Wipers off, scuttle off, opened the pollen filter housing and there's a new filter in it.

What a waste of an evening.

Spent a bit of time today removing the crappy foam that the previous owner of the Gruppe M had stuck over it. You could tell it was old as it was starting to crumble and just going everywhere so it had to go.

2 bloody hours later, the crap is off! Looking much cleaner I think. I also took time to give the engine bay a once over

I also got a CTEK charger on a few days ago. A great wee bit of kit!

Washed the R, the other half’s scirocco and the daily beater Passat that I’ve just took possession of. It looks and drives well for something with over 170k miles! The Passat obviously hadn’t been washed in ages as it even had moss growing around the trim and lights . It came up great with thanks to Anachem products though.

Took the silica bag out of the coolant reservoir. They have a habit of bursting and doing major damage to the cooling system

Also fitted sill protectors. Wasn’t a fan of the GTD text but it was all I could find! Not bad for £16
