Thats a class photo @Graham had good fun on the day cant wait too see the rest of them. I may have power washed it 2 more times afterwards, but i had injector pump issues last week so the day before so she actually looked like this.
Got the rebuilt pump on early in the day
and put her back together and started cleaning all afternoon, never got near any of the details i wanted too but i had too call time.
Then drove the whole way up to meet graham in the morning, was a bit weary wondering if id tightened everything.
Made it by the skin of my teeth though.

It was almost called off , maybe next time ill get a chance too clean the interior, just as well its a landrover

@Cess is scribbling away in a darkened room to get it live on the blog soon enough
Walter is a great chap and he was more than pleased to host such special builds - also i could count on one hand the number of people who have been able to take their own vehicle into the tracks so you are very fortunate in that regard also

So been working away with the defender, Still replacing and fixing lots of odd jobs mainly the interior. toolbox's are next big job on the list.
Had too change the starting relay as it packed up, i got a genuine bosch one, it hurt the wallet alot.
Ripping down an old mobile
Stainless interior parts
Changing rusty drive flange bolts, going too have too paint the threads on the wheel nuts it seems too.
Hoping too get the toolboxs drawn up this week

Been working on tidying up alot of things on the 130 and the beds already seen a fair share of punishment, chains woods and all sorts clattering around in it, so i started too make some boxes too hold them and also 25l drums without toppling. almost have one ready for paint.

Getting the back end rightly sorted out now
2 frames made and welded and painted and alu sheet riveted on
Test fitting and checking all my boxes fit in
Got the stockboard bolted in with some tie down points
Quite happy how its turning out just need some help to fabricate some folded lids as i dont have a press break
Was at the Kilbroney vintage show yesterday, met a few more RMS'ers also got sunburnt horribly lol

Been tidying up more things on this yolk starting too really come together.
Ive added a on the fly fuelling controller too the manual pump for those long drives and overtaking the cyclists.
I was up at the GTINI show on saturday great day out and lots of interesting things too peruse, I was shocked and a little humbled that the defender got a trophy, genuinely wasn't expecting anything, so much so i didnt think too be ontime for the awards... OOPS I was busy eating cake.
Now if i can get those damn toolboxes sorted its going too be the death of me.

What a few weeks Toolbox project is almost finished, a few finishing touches with the lifting struts and heading too districts where i picked up a select award and spirit of the show.
On the way down too the show sat morning i got as far as portadown, Then like turning a switch off, nothing no power, got pulled in and started investigating, it was defiantly fuel related, so after checking the normal things stop solenoid filter etc i was fairly certain it was terminal, i phoned a few people and found a pump on an engine near lisburn and started tearing the current pump off while i waited for a tow as i thought it better to bring the landy too the pump than the opposite,
So i got the old pump off mine and the new pump off the engine and thrown onto mine and managed too get down there leaking diesel everywhere, which turned out too be a loose fitting which i sorted at the show lol
All in all a fairly intense weekend and i Have too thank everyone who helped out and got me down there as it was defiantly a team effort.
I now have a bit of investigating too see whats happened the old pump but i can turn the input shaft by hand so i suspect the coupling has failed.

Been busy with the 110 and the 130, We where out offroading again with the RMS crew and i had a blast but also had some work too do too the 130 too mint her again.
The rear diff was groaning after the day out and drive home so i pulled it out and the pinion bearings are just starting to go, i keep a spare built diff for her so i fitted that and ill get the bearings changed on the Current one.
Also re tightened re-greased and repainted anything that got some stone chiped and or damaged.
Few more tweaks too the loadout for events, the Inverter came in handy for some modifications too other vehicles. Onboard air and winch assisted in a few situations, All in all proving to be a capable offroader. but im going too buy something a little rougher too beat on.

Been Busy making some improvements too the Cooling system. It was ok but during low speed work and Offroading it was climbing more than the fan could handle. So ive started too sort that this week. A larger radiator from a D2 its around 20% bigger and lets me fit 2 Spal 12" high CFM fans.
Only got it finished but shes defiantly improved.
@Tufty is going too get me some heatwrap and ill wrap the downpipe and a turbo blanket hopefully will take some of the heat out from under the bonnet.
Also got my tow hook setup complete and on.

Been working away now have the exhaust heatwrapped turbo blanket and a new cold air intake located in the wing.

My airfilter was a quick and handy soloution at the time but ive found in traffic and slow moving work it draws hot air into the hot engine and its a vicious cycle so I found i can fit the massive air filter into the wing... just. And it can draw air from above and the std air duct position. Grabbed some 4" stainless pipe and bends and got scheming.
and all tigged up and fitted.
Another job almost done ill get it all cleaned and polished up tomorrow and a cover plate made for the wing too allow some airflow.
