Alonso seems to think they have a championship winning car next season. The guy is believing his own hype at this point.

He did put a little manners into Lewis though but probably more to do with Lewis wanting to avoid a collision and a DNF than outright pace.

And then immediately denied by Merc and Renault, lol :joy: No comment from Ferrari, and they have a veto.

Have to say I agree with the manufacturers here, this proposal is only going to make it even more expensive for any new entrant. Everyone will just look at Honda and go **** that.

The only way to get more engine manufacturers in would be to ditch the whole hybrid nonsense and go back to low weight, low(er...) complexity, etc. But that will never happen.

Anything else will only be tinkering around the edges and no real change.

To be honest not sure if it really would be the end of the world if Ferrari did leave, but it doesn't matter because they won't.

Interesting to see how this showdown between Liberty and the big teams will play out.

Not just Ferrari but Mercedes and Renault as well.
To be honest the racing is normally so boring unless you watch it using fast forward, so they have to do something to spice it up.

Liberty will announce further details on Tuesday of its plans for 2021+ so it will be interesting to see what they are.

As a fan I’d like closer racing, less complex but noisier engines & less driver penalties for engine/gearbox changes. Simple really lol

Ferrari won't quit, they can't afford to. It's their biggest source of advertising and development playground for their road cars plus they make bank with all the perks they get in F1. It would shine such a bad light on them if they quit F1. It's just some scare tactics to the media because they aren't getting their way.
