Those are both brilliant, excellent

Back then show cars really were show cars, full of optimism and creativity. From gas turbines to the above, manufacturers experimenting and innovating wildly and actually building stuff.

Now it's just the same generic boxes made from the same generic parts, getting even worse with electric. And "show cars" just 3d-printed renderings.

On the subject of VW's looking like Ford's, here's a Fiberfab Avenger which is a Beetle chassis with an attempt at a GT40 bolted on...

The real reason I post that (other than it probably being new to many people) is that it's called an Avenger and I wanted to post a VW which is an Avenger. Of the Hillman/Chrysler/Talbot persuasion. Argentina's VW 1500...
