I'm trying to come up with some type of conclusion after the first week of testing. IIRC in 2018 Ferrari were fastest, McLaren were 2nd fastest & Mercedes were plum last... if that's anything to go by!

Most seem to agree the Ferrari is going well, Williams are nowhere, and that's about it.

Everything is speculation at this point. They're not even running final trim and spec. Might get a little clearer next week, but probably not.

Such a shame about Williams, it's heartbreaking to watch. McL still struggling too. But it's just not possible to be competitive as an independent any more. It's the main teams, or one of the satellites getting supplied by the main teams, and that's it.

That said, Renault appear to have taken another step closer. Still a long way off the top teams though.

Yes apparently Ted has been sacked by Sky’s Head of F1, Scott Young.

Hashtag #findted doing the rounds on Twitter this week.

‘Ted’s Notebook’ was the highlight of Sky’s coverage. Maybe they sacked him to pay Jenson Button’s wage.

Someone will offer him a job, maybe even Formula 1 themselves.

Watch the laps being put on the Honda by RB, very different story from McL the last couple of years!

I suppose it shouldn't be a surprise given how well Honda did with TR last year, but that is still a huge step up.

Looks like a much healthier relationship.

Maybe I'm grumpy today, lol, just looks like a gimmick that won't do anything at all to solve the actual problem.

Anyway, Formula E is back again this weekend, in China. Live on BBC and iPlayer on Sunday morning.
