So Guys....

The final piece of the puzzle landed today, Link G4+ ECU. From reading up & from what a few Evo friends have said this is a must have & will most definitely ‘future proof’ for any further modifications. (Obviously with forged rods too if I do head down that route of even more power)

I may even get a touch of anti-lag mapped in for some fun :p

To be honest I don't think i could do it to this car. mild modifications without throwing silly silly money into it.

If/When the time comes to sell, I would rather buy something with everything already done to it.

This isn't to everyone's taste but it just screams jap awesomeness to me!

With a map and that turbo and the other bits, leave it alone. You will be surprised at the results. It will be a different car. It’s as far as ya need to go in a evo for our roads.

I'm sure the engineering on this is great and it drives nicely, but I think the stock EVO 9 Body is much nicer looking.

I do love the bodykit, agreed the front bumper does look like a basking shark a tad, but i reckon i could get used to it.

Then again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder...

I haven’t updated here in a wee bit so thought I would bring everyone up to speed.

The day came to leave the evo down with Rick’s garage to have all my gathered parts finally fitted. A short time later I got the call to say she was ready to rock....

Bits included,
CTEC turbo elbow, Modular downpipe, decat, centre section & cat back section. Walbro fuel pump, Owen developments 80 series turbo, grimmspeed 3 port boost solenoid & my koyorad Aluminium Radiator coupled with a selection of silicone hoses & Ralliart Rad cap.

So from there I drove straight up the road to Bradley Motorworks for fitting of the Link G4+ ECU and mapping.

Fast forward a week or so later when I got the thumbs up to collect and boy oh boy I was a happy chap.

The car feels completely different from the standard form of its old self. Even more responsive, and one hell of a pull in any gear. The noise is just Perfect too. No drone but it still lets you know it’s there sort of noise, that is until you put the foot down and a mad man breaks out.

Simply put I couldn’t have wished for a better outcome.

Switchable boost controls & anti-lag should I choose have all been dialled in too.

So today I gave her a wash down then out for a drive around the country. What great roads we have over here. Best to just get out exploring!

At least you’ll take it for a good blast unlike most evos it’s not wasted doing laps of portrush at walking pace.

Lovely car and good spec. I cant warm to the wheels atal though. They need something bigger and more aggressive looking imo. Mint example though
