Another years MoT. Not even 5,500 miles since last test 😮. I've walked more miles than the car has done in that time ffs.

Wife complained of a wobble in the steering of the e93. 😂. Yeah that will be the disintegration of the top hat then. Never seen one in as big a mess basically the Centre bush had completely disappeared and the only thing holding it together was the weight of the car. I jacked it up and it fell out. Changed for a new one and all is well again.

Give the Golf a service, new oil, oil filter, air filter and fuel filter. Then a quick once over and tyres checked.

Really needs a wash, from memory it was last washed in the first week of September

Mot reminder came in a month ago or so, as per most of my MOTs go, I tucked the letter away and forgot about it thinking I’ll get Christmas over then sort it. Que Thursday night, realised it expires tomorrow lol. First date Ards could give me is...tomorrow at 8.05am!
So I’ve just spent the afternoon scrubbing it down to make it half presentable. 🤞

Mini was up for MOT on Thursday so it was hoovered, seats and plastics cleaned and outside washed. Passed although it’s on its second MOT and has 14,500 miles.
S3 got a good going over inside. Could do with the mats and carpets being wet vacced but I’ll get that sorted in the spring.

Picked this up a few days ago. 2006 GTI Polo, jap import. Just turned 40k miles, interior is excellent, steering wheel looks like it hasn’t been used. Headlining you can tell is starting to become ‘loose’ in a few places but can’t even notice it.

spent today fitting waterpump, belt, tensioner, fuel oil and air filter plus new oil of course.

underside is in great shapes, took a photo after fitting the fuel filter and even the lines are still like new. Air filter was replaced even though it looks like

just need to get the clocks changed to UK ones and converted to the correct mileage, anyone know anyone who can do this? It has stickers inside the clocks currently which did pass MOT in July.

the dashboard had a small crack at the front near the window so fitted my spare dash I had lying around, no cracks, just in need of a good clean.

have a spare set of 312mm brakes from a TT also, may get round to fitting those as the discs on currently are near done. Other than that, maybe get a basic remap and drive it for a while, maybe sell it too lol. ST focus I had lasted 40 days before going up the road.

Did you import it yourself or buy it privately?

Got a good few things done that I'd been wanting to sort

Installed a horn button as it didn't have one even with the BMW wheel that came with it, I think a previous owner nicked the slip ring that spins to prevent the cables tangling

Then got stuck in and ripped the dash apart once again just for the giggles 😂 helped when getting into the foot well speakers

Old ones look like original items and look like they were near the end of their life

Left the five series in at Rick's garage to get looked at. Just felt something wasn't right with her... Thought maybe a shock was on her way out....felt soft or something on one side, just couldn't put my finger on it as she wasn't knocking or anything.
Turned out It was the bushes so replaced passenger side and drivers side.
Feels alot more tighter now 😊
