For sure I'd have bought it already if I hadn't just bought a house. Then it would be a no brainer.
I do have big pans for my perfect garage and will complete it to a similar standard as my Datsun project.
You are both correct in that I will be able to sell either the B20 or the K20 easily enough depending what happens.
I wouldn't trust anyone else to drive my car and they certainly wouldn't know it like I do, plus getting it out and MOT'd and all the other work involved in storing it again is a lot to ask from somebody.
Well, technically I don't own it yet, as the sale doesn't complete fully until the end of January and I'm still waiting on completion of the valuation before signing the mortgage contract.I'm going on the assumption that you already own the house and the garage is just an addition?!
I could get by, in that its a usable triple garage in which I could store both cars, its just that the garage isn't finished how I'd want it. I'd originally planned to get the garage finished in one go so that I could take my cars out of storage for good and keep them in there and it would all be done without any future hassle. I suppose I could wait another 6 months before completing the garage and it would enable me to do both, need to learn some patience. If you can get by without the garage work, buy the engine.
Just means you'll have to work for another while to gather that money back up again. that's easy, you might struggle to ever get a deal like that again on the engine kit.

Thats why I went with a B20 in the first place, because its different and because its more raw and sounds better than a k20. Just it seems that B20's can be temperamental and hard to get working right but you can pretty much guarantee an untouched ow mileage K20 will be super reliable.Personally I'd keep the b20 as it's different and you've spent alot of time on it.
Can he not just get someone else to drive it so you can know for sure it's the map or not and then make the decision?
